Black History Life (PODCAST)
Discussion from this week's episode includes, does the traditional approach to Black History remain beneficial to the Black community or have the annual Black History programs and lectures gone stale? Is there an explanation for the apparent disconnect between elders of the African-American community and millennials as it relates to a communal understanding of what it means to be Black in America. Lastly, within the culture, should there be a major push for a more global approach to Black History, which exceeds celebrating the same central figures one month out of the year?
