Episode 96: Freedom Summer: The Dorie Ladner Interview

Angered by the murder of Emmett Till, Dorie Ladner began her activism at age 14 and has been on the trail ever since. A protégé of Medgar Evers and member of SNCC, Dorie was an involved contributor to the civil rights movement of the 1960s. In this episode she gets into her involvement with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, notable civil rights activist with whom she worked along side, and some of her most dangerous moments as an civil rights activist in the Deep South.
