Episode 101: New Life: The Michael Etheridge Interview

This week Tight and BG talk with Michael Etheridge, (aka Mike E), one of the original Neptunes. In the early 90s, Mike E, along with Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and Sheldon Haley decided to form a group in high school that would go on to capture the attention of world renown producer, Teddy Riley, who had set up his recording studio across the street from the school. As Pharrell and Chad went on to become a superstar production team, Mike pursued a solo career which has ultimately brought him to this current point. As he readies himself for the release of the much anticipated LP, Supernatural, Mike talks about the early days in Virginia Beach, making the transition to making music for God, and what makes his music resonate with the people.
