But not LUST in the traditional sense..more of an infatuation with the statistics...attractive, college educated, nice job, Christian, seemingly pleasant demeanor. Basically all of the qualities possesed by a "good catch" -- THE DREAM
Now on top of all this goodness, Lisa appeared to take an interest in my day to day life, my values, and my own personal interests. I felt like she was really into the kid, and that there was a mutual desire to get to know one another and become "friends first" -- more DREAM
Going forward, because of the lessons learned in past failed relationships there was effort on both of our parts to travel this road differently. The first 2 months filled with Q&A sessions about values, goals, expectations. Words like patience, understanding, empathy, teamwork, thoughtfulness, often found their way into convos. The right things were being said and a systematic approach was in place to slow the pace and ensure that both parties were understanding of each other. Fool proof approach to establishing a great relationship, right? This time we're gonna get it right. All hands touched in agreement-- more DREAM
And just when the DREAM was about get extra good, that bitch REALITY showed up with vengeance...continued in part 2. --- BG
